Cool Off in the Pool

The Twin Cities offer a couple of public swimming pools in which to cool off on a hot afternoon in Lewis County.

The Pearl Street Pool, in the 200 block of Pearl Street in downtown Centralia, is open in the afternoon and early evening Monday through Friday, usually after the first weekend in June. The pool stays open through August.

For information on open swim times and costs, call the Centralia Parks and Recreation Department at 330-7688.

The Chehalis Outdoor Pool will open for the summer on May 24. The pool will be open on weekends only until school is out, and then will offer lessons and open swimming at various times. There is a spray park adjacent to the pool that will be open as weather permits. Call 748-0271 for times and costs. The pool is located at 401 S.W. Parkland Dr.
