Whether they are attached to skateboards, rollerblades or BMX bikes, Fullers Twin City Skate Park at Rotary Riverside Park in Centralia is a perfect place to give your wheels a spin.

Built in 2003, the city-owned park is open to all, rain or shine. The one-acre park was designed for all skill levels — beginners, intermediates and experts will find their own space.

The skate park also features a few elements unique to the Northwest. “The Needle” is a pointed concrete ramp modeled after Seattle’s Space Needle and a hollow, open-sided mound is reminiscent of the Mount St. Helens volcano. Other features include the usual selection of ramps and boardslides, and a 30-foot long, granite-lined ledge.

The skate park is located just east of Interstate 5’s Exit 82, and just north of Harrison Avenue on Lowe Street. The park is free and open to the public from about 7 or 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. during the summer. Organizers strongly suggest wearing helmets and pads.
